Top Maine Brand Photography Locations

It’s easy to feel limited when picking your personal brand shoot location — doesn’t it have to be where you work? 

Nope! 

Personal brand photography is about capturing your brand, no matter the setting. While your salon, store, or workspace may be perfect for some photos, it’s not your only option! 

Your brand photographer should support you in finding a location that fits your brand, your goals, and your overall vibe, but as your stand-in bubbly brand photographer, here are some of my favorite Maine brand photography locations — including one that works no matter what the Maine weather decides to do!

By the Ocean

Maine’s iconic coastline is a natural (see what I did there?) choice for photography, and it works just as beautifully for brand sessions as it does for weddings and couples! If you’re a coastal Maine business (or simply love the ocean!), those crashing waves make the perfect backdrop for your brand.

Maine has one of the longest state coastlines, which means endless photoshoot options! Some of my favorite southern Maine spots include Kettle Cove, Pine Point, and Willard Beach. I love golden hour shoots by the water (hello, romantic glowy lighting), but it can also be fun to play around with the direct mid-day sun! 

Important note: Some coastal locations require permits for professional photography, so always check ahead of time before planning your shoot!

Roadside Gems

While I’m an ocean girlie through-and-through, there’s something to be said about Maine’s backroad gems. Think scenic fields, winding streams, and quiet wooded areas — perfect for brands that feel grounded, natural, or adventurous!

These locations are especially great for brand photography because they tend to be quieter than popular coastal spots. Fewer people means more flexibility, comfort, and creativity during your session. If you’re a nature lover, keep an eye out for local haunts or lesser-known spots!

Important Note: Always respect private property and stay safe (no need to stumble into a ditch trying to get the perfect picture!).

Local Farms

Local farms are another amazing option for brand photography in Maine. From flower farms to dairy farms, these spaces provide a mix of natural beauty and interesting structures that add depth and visual interest to your brand photos!

Farms are a wonderful backdrop for creative brands, wellness businesses, and anyone looking for a more organic feel to their brand photos. Just be sure to check ahead to confirm that professional photography is allowed!

Urban Vibe 

If nature scenery doesn’t fit your brand, don’t forget about Maine’s cityscapes! Portland’s Old Port offers that super cool urban vibe with its cobblestone streets, red brick buildings,. It’s the perfect spot for bold, modern brands!

Another popular spot in Portland is Luke’s Lobster. Cedar shingles and colorful lobster buoys capture that classic New England charm Mainers love!
