Evermore Place: A Southern Maine Photography Studio

Many of you know me as Marissa, your bubbly brand photographer. But did you know that I’m also a photography studio owner? Evermore Place in Gray, Maine is my home away from home–and it can be yours, too! 

Over the years, I’ve rented many studios. Each time I rented, I made note of all my favorite parts of the studio, curating my dream studio in my mind. In 2024, I put all these pieces together to create Evermore Place–a studio for photography and small gatherings that is unlike anything else in Southern Maine.

Evermore Place Highlights

• Location: Gray, Maine. One of my goals in opening a photography studio was to make it centrally located and easy to access. Evermore Place is just minutes off the highways (which can’t be said about a lot of places in Maine!) and has plenty of parking!
• Natural Light: Evermore Place is a natural light studio, and there are literally no dark corners–every photographer’s dream! The way the sunlight lights up the back walls is absolutely dreamy.
• Versatile: Evermore Place has three distinct rooms that, while cohesive, offer variety that you don’t often find in studio rentals.
• Changing Rooms: Evermore Place has a separate bathroom and changing room, which means you’re not stuck wiggling into your dress next to the toilet. There’s even a special place to hang your wardrobe changes!
• Free Marketing: I love featuring my clients’ work on Evermore Place’s website and social media–and you always get photo credit! It’s a great way for your work to get shared in a variety of places.

What Can The Studio Be Used For?

One of my favorite things about Evermore Place is that it isn’t just for photoshoots and content creation. I’ve hosted small events like Coffee & Content, while others have used it for small holiday gatherings, workshops, and retreats. It’s the perfect spot for mini-sessions or meet and greets! 

There are even special setups every now and then, like the Spring and Holiday setups. These are temporary setups that last for one to two weeks and are a great opportunity for you to mix things up a little! 

What’s In The Studio

Evermore Place has three distinct yet cohesive rooms, so there’s a little something for everyone. There’s a variety of seating options and three large seamless backdrops (crisp white, a gorgeous pecan, and a fun rotating color) available as add-ons.

Recently, I’ve added three super fun backdrop colors (crimson, sea green, and gulf blue) that are perfect for cake smashes, solo headshots, and creative portraits! There’s also a fun new director’s chair and an updated headshot area with neutral patterned wallpaper and a modern chair.

What To Expect When You Rent

We all have enough stress, so my goal is to make renting Evermore Place totally hassle-free! Once you submit a booking request on the website, I process and review it. Then, you receive an emailed proposal that contains the contract and payment. This secures your reservation!

Once all that business is out of the way, you’ll receive a confirmation email with your custom door code, details on how to get to Evermore Place, and a Renter’s Guide, made by yours truly. This guide has everything you need to know–the wifi password, Bluetooth speaker instructions, and more!

Why is it called Evermore Place?

Evermore means ‘forever and always,’ which is fitting because I’ve dreamed of opening a studio for a long time! I also chose the word place instead of studio because my goal was to create a place (see!) that felt welcoming, cozy, and elegant. I wanted my studio to be a place you go, not just a studio you rent.
