Entrepreneur Gift Guide

As a brand photographer and fellow business owner, I’ve carefully curated a list of my favorite essentials for the office, home, and even a few fashion and beauty must-haves. Whether you’re shopping for yourself or a fellow entrepreneur, I hope this guide is a helpful resource!

If you’ve been thinking of buying something on this list, I am here to tell you why it’s a great choice! These are items I love and use frequently (some of them daily!).

FOR THE OFFICE

A lot of TikTok trends aren’t worth the hype, so I was hesitant to buy a walking treadmill. I already have a standing desk, so I thought the treadmill was unnecessary. But when my knees started hurting after standing for too long, I made the purchase–and I am SO glad I did! Walking while doing admin tasks and sending emails makes me feel good and keeps my energy up!

Between editing, admin work, and emails, I spend hours on my laptop. When my carpal tunnel started to get really bad, I knew I had to do something about it, so I ordered this mouse! I was worried it would take a while to get used to (I mean, it looks weird!), but it didn’t! It has helped SO MUCH.

Between filming my own content and behind the scenes of photoshoots, this little tripod gets a workout. It’s lightweight and portable, so I can easily throw it in my bag and bring it with me to photoshoots. It has SO many uses, both personal and professional!

ELECTRONICS

The photographer in me doesn’t shut off on vacation. I used to bring my DSLR camera with me on trips, but that felt risky. It was also super bulky. More often than not, I left it in my bag because I couldn’t bother hefting it out to snap a few pictures. I did a ton of research and ended up buying the Canon EOS R50. It’s compact but still takes high quality photos. I have a few of my favorite travel pictures framed in my hallway, and the printed quality is great!

I’m actually wearing these JBL Headphones jamming to my “Work Vibes” playlist on Pandora right as I write. My mind often wanders when I’m doing more mundane entrepreneurial tasks, but I’ve found that wearing these headphones helps me stay laser focused on what I’m doing. The music is closer to my ears, so I am less distracted by what’s going on around me!

If you hadn’t guessed based on my walking treadmill recommendation, I struggle to stay in one spot. Sometimes I like to change up where I work in the house, and this desk riser helps with that! It turns any surface into a standup work area. On a nice day, you can find me working in my sunroom, soaking in the warmth along with my cats!

FOR THE HOME

Don’t get me wrong, I love treating myself to a fancy coffee. But there’s something to be said about drinking a latte that tastes like you got it at Starbucks–but you didn’t have to take your slippers off to get it! My Nespresso machine is one of my favorite things on this list. If you’re feeling fancy, try making some lavender cold foam–you’ll feel like a real barista!

If you’ve ever done a photoshoot with me, you know this step stool is an essentia! As a photographer, I do what I have to do for the shot, and sometimes that means I need to stand on something (any other short girlies out there?). My previous stool was bright blue, and it definitely did not fit the vibe. This one is cute, elevated, and aesthetic–totally on brand!

I love a salty snack, and popcorn is one of my favorites. This silicone popcorn bowl is a game changer! You can use any oil you want, add the perfect amount of butter, and top it off with whatever seasoning you’re craving (my favorite–seasoned salt!).

FASHION & BEAUTY

This summer I embraced my tennis skirt era. I wore this skirt so much. It’s flowy–which makes it comfortable–and it has built-in shorts, which are perfect when I’m contorting my body to take the perfect photo! 

I love a gadget with multiple functions. This 5-in-1 Curling Wand is truly an “all in one” apparatus! Whether I want to curl my hair or crimp it (this brings me back to middle school!), I can do it all with this one wand. It’s perfect for traveling, since you only have to pack one tool (and a couple attachments)!

I never thought I’d be a Croc girl, but these sandals have changed me. They’re the perfect neutral and oh so comfy! I can slip them on to grab the mail or wear them out to grab lunch with a friend. I love a versatile shoe!
